Today, the US Sailing Team AlphaGraphics heads to the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for a physical training camp. This is the first time our team, me, Sally and Elizabeth, has visited the training center and participated in the training program. I’ve never been to Colorado so I’m excited about the trip. I’ve heard great things about the camp and the facility. Moreover, I’ve heard there is a lot of swimming involved, which doesn’t sound as fun since I’m not exactly the world’s most gifted swimmer. But overall, it should be a great experience.
Today is also St. Patrick’s Day. I was asked to write this blog entry because of my Irish roots. St. Patrick was known for doing for doing great things in my homeland, Ireland, and it’s the one day where it seems like everyone claims a little Irish heritage.
So, while most of you are enjoying St. Patrick’s Day and the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament (Go Hoyas!), we will be working hard and improving as a team in Colorado.
