US Sailing Team AlphaGraphics – the national sailing team comprised of the country’s top performing Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls – unveiled a revised team logo. The team’s title sponsor AlphaGraphics, the provider of visual communications for businesses through nearly 300 owner-operated, locally-based business centers worldwide, recently launched a new corporate identity to reflect a global focus on innovation and ingenuity. August 12, London 2012 Olympic Test Event

It was ladies day at the 2012 London Olympic Test Event for the US Team with entries in two of the day’s medal races. Paige Railey won a bronze medal in Laser Radial, and Erin Maxwell and Isabelle Kinsolving Farrar claimed a 470 Women’s 9th overall. With the day’s wind conditions back into a more suitable 11-15 knots, racing took place as scheduled. The final day for each class is always reserved for the medal race in which the top 10 sailors from the 10-race series advance. The Finns and Stars were back on the water to complete theirs series, with Zach Railey now standing in 9th overall in the Finn, and in the Star Mark Mendelblatt and Brian Fatih are in 9th. Railey and Star duo Mendelblatt and Fatih advance to their respective medal races on Saturday, which is the last day of competition in the 2011 Weymouth and Portland International Regatta. MEDIA ALERT: August 11, London 2012 Olympic Test Event

Another day of blasting wind on Weymouth Bay disrupted plans for racing at the London 2012 Olympic Test Event. One of the few classes to make it off the docks was the Star class, which completed two races. Mark Mendelblatt and Brian Fatih scored a 10th and 5th to hold the overall 8th position. Two additional races are scheduled on Friday for the Star and Finn classes before the top 10 advance to the respective class medal races on Saturday. Women’s 470 duo Erin Maxwell and Isabelle Kinsolving Farrar along with Laser Radial sailor Paige Railey had a rest day today and will be back racing in their medal races on Friday. Saturday is the concluding day of the 2011 Weymouth and Portland International Regatta. This evening the first prizegiving took place and Sally Barkow, Alana O’2012-12-10 18:40:08′Reilly and Elizabeth Kratzig Burnham received a bronze medal in Women”s Match Racing. Continue reading

August 10, London 2012 Olympic Test Event

With the wind howling and gusting up to 25 knots on Weymouth Bay, the US Team turned in a variety of impressive results including two wins in the Laser Radial class by Paige Railey. As the London 2012 Olympic Test Event reaches its final stretch over the next three days, US athletes who have already advanced to a medal race include Railey, plus Zach Railey (Finn), and Erin Maxwell and Isabelle Kinsolving Farrar (Women’s 470). Racing in the Star class was abandoned today and Mark Mendelblatt and Brian Fatih will resume their series on Thursday. Continue reading
