The 2012 Olympic Team was decided at the ISAF Sailing World Championships, Dec. 3-18, 2011, in Perth, Australia.

The 2012 Paralympic Team was selected at US Sailing’s Rolex Miami OCR.

For this Quadrenium, the way to Weymouth isn”t just a one-stop regatta (Evolution of the 2012 Olympic Selection Procedures and Selection Procedures for the 2012 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Sailing ).

US Olympic Team – Sailing: The process for selection for the nine fleet racing classes involves a qualification system that leads up to two events: 2011 Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta and 2011 ISAF Combined World Championships.  These two international competitions represent the highest level events where our American sailors compete in a low score regatta, combining their finishes at each of these events.

For Women”s Match Racing in the Elliott 6m, the first Trial event took place in October, 2011. The top four finishers will advance to the final Trial event scheduled May 4-10, 2012 at the Olympic Sailing Venue in Weymouth, U.K.
